Pictured L-R: First State Bank of the Florida Keys SVP/Marketing Director Don Lanman and Wounded Warrior Project 2013 Soldier Ride Chair Jerry Hughes.

The Community is invited to join First State Bank of the Florida Keys and the Military Affairs Committee (MAC) in supporting the Wounded Warrior Project by welcoming our Veterans traveling via bicycle from Boca Chica to Key West on January 13, 2013.

50 wounded and recovering soldiers from the Iraq and Afghanistan wars are traveling to Key West from Boca Chica arriving at the Truman Annex Waterfront for a Welcome Ceremony at 12:30pm.>

The public is invited to join the veterans in the special "Red, White & Blue Key West Ride" community ride along to visit various local Historic Military Sites around town and end at Mallory Square beginning at 1:30pm from the Outer Mole.

"As a veteran I value and appreciate the price and dedication all service members pay to secure our freedom, but those wounded in combat deserve our most sincere heartfelt appreciation and admiration," said Don Lanman, First State Bank SVP/Marketing Director and MAC Member.

Soldier Ride is an adaptive cycling event for injured soldiers to reclaim confidence and strength. It also raises awareness for the Wounded Warrior Project programs and services.
