First State Bank of the Florida Keys Tara Denny, Human Resources Manager, PHR celebrates her tenth year, and Nola Acker, Assistant Vice President/Key Largo Branch Office Manager her fifth year with the Bank.
Tara Denny joined the Bank in 2001 as a Human Resources Assistant, was promoted to Payroll/Benefits Coordinator in 2003 and her current position in 2006. She earned the Professional Human Resources Certification in 2006 and is an active member of the Bank’s Safety, Employee of the Quarter, and Holiday Committees. Denny earned a Bachelor’s Degree from St Leo’s College in Human Resource Management.
“It gives us a great deal of pride to congratulate Tara on her tenth year with our Bank,” said Kay Miller, First State Bank Vice President/Human Resources Director. “Her hard work, dedication and technical knowledge make her an invaluable part of our team.”
Nola Acker joined First State Bank in 2006 as Assistant Vice President/Key Largo Branch Office Manager, bringing 10 years Retail Branch experience from JP Morgan Chase. Acker studied at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy in New York, and has also completed courses in management and employee development. Acker serves as a board member of the Friends of the Key Largo Cultural Center, Key Largo Chamber of Commerce and is a mentor for Take Stock in Children as well as The Key Largo Community Preservation Foundation.
