Brian Barroso, First State Bank of the Florida Keys Assistant Vice President and Branch Manager, has completed the Florida Banker’s Association’s Florida School of Banking.
The Florida School of Banking curriculum includes: central bank monetary policy, bank accounting systems, human resource management, leadership styles, capital markets, loan policy, specialized credit and concludes with a special bank management computer simulation where students “manage” a bank for two years.
“We congratulate Brian on his successful completion of the prestigious Florida School of Banking curriculum,” said Tony Romano, First State Bank EVP/Retail Market Executive. “We’re confident that he will use this advanced professional education and enhanced business expertise to take our customer banking and lending services to new levels.”
Barroso has been with First State Bank of the Florida Keys for five years and is actively involved in numerous local organizations including: Montessori School, Board Member; Leadership Monroe County, graduate; Key West Rotary Club, Treasurer and Paul Harris Fellow Awards recipient; Take Stock in Children, Mentor; Florida Keys Aqueduct Authority, Board Member.
A native of Key West, Barroso is a graduate of Key West High School and holds a Bachelors Degree as well as a Masters of Business Degree.
