In 1955, First State Bank’s Founders established civic responsibility and community dedication as corporate core values and the cornerstone of the Bank’s “local service” philosophy of giving back to the community where we live and work. From sinking the USS Vandenberg in 2009 to raising the local economy while saving the ecology to supporting all of the Chambers, Rotaries and hundreds of community events annually, First State Bank continues its half century of dedication to the Keys communities. Annually the Bank provides employee volunteers, thousands of community service hours, cash donations and in-kind services to local charities and non-profit groups throughout the Keys! The Bank is also committed to our local students, supporting school programs including AVID, Take Stock in Children and the International Baccalaureate program as critical investments in our future that provide a framework for our children to be prepared for advanced collegiate studies. The “Giving Back” page includes a listing of many of the local non-profits. We invite all locals to join us in “Giving Back” by supporting one or more of these worthy organizations. Please recommend qualified non-profits that you would like to see added to our website. If any qualified non-profit organization would like to promote a local fundraiser, simply send us an email in the “Contact Us” section of this web site. It’s Locals Helping Locals for the benefit of our Community! |
