First State Bank of the Florida Keys continued its historic partnership with the Conch Republic Offshore Powerboat Racing Association (CROPRA) to provide Keys high school students with an exciting and enlightening “Marine Career Day” outing.
Over 125 students from Coral Shores High School and Marathon High School benefited from “Career Day” at the 31st Annual Key West World Championship Powerboat Races, sponsored by First State Bank of the Florida Keys, Super Boat International Productions, Inc. and the American Power Boat Association.
“This is another example of First State Bank’s ongoing commitment to the Monroe County School District and the career development of our local students,” said Kurt Lewin, First State Bank of the Florida Keys Executive Vice President and CROPRA Official.
The local students were able to attend a team meeting, speak with the racing team members about their careers, identify marine career opportunities, watch the races and enjoy a lunch provided by First State Bank of the Florida Keys.
