First State Bank of the Florida Keys congratulates Jenny O'Brien, Assistant Controller and Becky Shifflett, Marathon and Islamorada Branch Manager on their promotions to Assistant Vice President.
O'Brien joined First State Bank in 2001 as a college Intern/Teller. Upon graduation she returned to the Bank as a Credit Analyst, she was promoted to Commercial Lender in 2004 and in 2006 to Commercial Loan Officer, in 2010 she was transferred to the Accounting Team as Accounting Officer/Assistant Controller.
O'Brien is a Key West High School graduate and holds Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a Major in Finance from the University of Florida. She is the Chair for the Sugarloaf School SAC Committee and is also a member of the Lower Keys Chamber of Commerce, Key West Gator Club, and a Ministry Volunteer for Big Pine Community Church.

Shifflett began her career with First State Bank of the Florida Keys in 2005 as Customer Service Officer and was promoted to Marathon Branch Operations Manager in 2008. In 2010 she was promoted once more to Branch Manager of the Bank's Marathon and Islamorada offices.
Shifflett is very active in both the Marathon and Islamorada communities with a dedication to local civic programs. She sits on the Board for the Business Professional Women (BPW) of Marathon.
