Don Lanman, First State Bank of the Florida Keys Senior Vice President and Marketing Director, was selected to join the South Florida Workforce Investment Board (SFWIB) by the Monroe County Board of County Commissioners.

SFWIB is responsible for initiating state and federally funded workforce development programs in Monroe County and Miami-Dade. SFWIB assists employers and job seekers with employment services, labor market information, and provide training for economically disadvantaged adults, youth, and dislocated workers.

“It is a rare privilege and high honor to have been selected to represent the County and all of the employers of the Florida Keys on this important Board,” said Lanman.

Lanman’s numerous civic and community commitments include serving on the Board of Directors for: Visiting Nurses Association and Hospice of the Florida Keys; Forgotten Soldiers Outreach, LLC; and the Military Affairs Committee. He also sits on the Key West Chamber of Commerce Membership Committee and is a graduate of Leadership Monroe County Class XX.
