First State Bank of the Florida Keys awarded the 12th Annual Diego L. Caso Scholarship to Key West High School graduate Kevin Cheng.

FSB Supports FIRM Tournament

First State Bank of the Florida Keys supported Fair Insurance Rates of Monroe County (FIRM) at their annual Father’s Day Golf Tournament.

The Bank provided a hole sponsorship and water for the event. The Annual Golf Tournament raises money to support FIRM’s fight against unfair windstorm and flood rates increases in Monroe County.

FSB and Turtle Hospital Host MCC

First State Bank of the Florida Keys and the Turtle Hospital co-hosted the Marathon Chamber of Commerce June Business After Hours event at the Turtle Hospital in Marathon.

Working together, the two organizations welcomed the Middle Keys business community, to a celebration of the hospital’s 30 years of service which featured tours of the Turtle Hospital and tanks, 50/50 raffles, food and spirits, and live entertainment by local artist, Adrianne.

Carney Celebrates 10 Years with FSB

First State Bank of the Florida Keys congratulates Gary Carney, Executive Vice President/Chief Credit Officer on his tenth anniversary with the Bank.

Carney joined First State Bank in 2006 as Senior Vice President and Senior Loan Administration Officer bringing 20 years of lending, credit management, loan administration, and banking experience. In 2008 he was promoted to Chief Credit Officer making responsible for all loan processing and servicing functions, portfolio management, credit administration, and special assets.

FSB Helps Bring Unity in Our Community

First State Bank volunteers joined Wesley House Family Services and The Rotary Club of Key West in support of Monroe County children at the 2nd Annual “Unity in the Community” Bike Ride.

The event featured a routed bike ride around the community, children’s and police booths, free bicycle helmets, and snow cones.  All monies raised help support dental care for children in Monroe County.

Students Explore Banking Careers

First State Bank of the Florida Keys Branch Manager Karen Mendez and Communications and Public Relations Manager Angie Walterson visited Poinciana Elementary School 3rd graders for Career Day.

First State Bank’s team provided first-hand information about the daily operations of banks, and how various types of careers fit into the overall success of a bank. 

FSB's Williams Celebrate 10 Years

First State Bank of the Florida Keys congratulates Richard Williams, Boulevard Office Teller, on his tenth year with the Bank.

Williams joined First State Bank in 2006 and has served at the Bank’s Boulevard, Key West Winn Dixie, and Stock Island Offices.  Williams moved to Key West in 2000.

“It gives us a great deal of pride to congratulate Richard on his tenth year with our Bank,” said Maria Garcia, First State Bank Vice President/Branch Manager.  “His in depth knowledge of our procedures and customers have been very impressive over the past decade.”

FSB Supports Kids Fishing Derby

First State Bank of the Florida Keys will sponsor the Ninth Annual Key Colony Beach Kids Fishing Derby on June 18th from 7am – 3 pm.

“First State Bank is always there to help make this local event a success,” said Fundraising Director for Key Colony Beach Fishing and Boating Club Joey Raspe.  “We are grateful to have their support in maintaining a family friendly environment in our community.”

FSB Supports Mariners March

First State Bank of the Florida Keys supported The Basilica School of St. Mary Star of the Sea with a sponsorship of the 6th annual Mariners March 5K helping raise thousands of dollars.

The Bank’s sponsorship included a donation and volunteers to provide water and encouragement to the runners of the Mariners March. 

“We appreciate First State Bank and everything they do to help support our local youth and community here in the Keys,” said Bascom Grooms, Mariners March Event Coordinator.
