FSB Celebrates 60 Years with $10K to Keys Community

In honor of First State Bank of the Florida Keys’ 60th Anniversary in business the Bank is celebrating by giving back to charities of the Keys community it serves.

Each of the Bank’s 180 employees was given $60 to donate to a local charity of their choice, a total community donation of over $10,000.

FSB Helps Montessori Race for “One Human Family”

First State Bank of the Florida Keys is supporting the Montessori Charter School’s ‘One Human Race’ 5K to be held at Higgs Beach in Key West.

The Bank is providing sponsorship funds, bags for goodies, and volunteers to help with registration the morning of the race.

Key West Montessori Charter School is a public school, open to all children, striving to reflect the diversity of their local community. Montessori’s innovative academic program challenges students, individually, in a safe and nurturing environment. 

FSB Congratulates Brown on Promotion

First State Bank of the Florida Keys congratulates Candice Brown on her promotion to Assistant Branch Operations Manager at the Key Largo Branch.

Brown was hired as a Teller in 2001 at the Boulevard Branch in Key West, transferred to the Key Largo Branch in 2002, and was promoted to Customer Service Representative in 2007, a position she held until her promotion.

First State Bank Helps Stuff the Bus

First State Bank of the Florida Keys’ Marathon Branch supported Monroe County School District and United Way’s “Stuff the Bus” initiative.

The Marathon Branch promoted and collected items for “Stuff the Bus”, a three day campaign for the community to stuff local buses with back-to-school supplies for needy students in Monroe County.

Over 150 players will represent the “big three” Florida schools in the Conch Cup tournament.  Proceeds will benefit the local scholarship funds of the Key West Gator Club, Southernmost Seminole Club, and Southernmost ‘Canes Club.

With over 75 hours of combined community service through the second quarter, First State Bank Human Resources Specialist Janice Clarissa, BSA/Fraud Coordinator Laura Griffin, and Online Banking Officer Brian Stadler each received recognition for their exemplary volunteer service.
