First State Bank Helps Mariners Run

First State Bank of the Florida Keys supports the Mariners Hospital with a donation to the Gordon Present 5K Walk/Run, benefiting the Center for Excellence in Nursing.

The event attracts walkers and runners Keyswide through Miami-Dade County to race down Old Highway from Coral Shores High School to Treasure Village Montessori. The race also included a Wellness Fair with free cholesterol and glucose screenings as well as massage therapy.

FSB to Help Stanley Switlick Spell Success

First State Bank of the Florida Keys supported Habitat for Humanity of the Middle Keys’ 16th (Not So) Annual Adult Spelling Bee.

Each year the Bank sponsors a 3 person team consisting of teachers and faculty members from Stanley Switlick Elementary School, Mary Lou Darczuk, Rosa Rios, and Debra Smith.  This year the teachers took top honors at the event, winning first place.

FSB Congratulates Mira on Service

First State Bank of the Florida Keys is pleased to congratulate Lisbey Mira, Main Office Lead Teller, on her twentieth year with the Bank.

Lisbey joined as a Teller at the Main Office in 1995 and was promoted to her current position as Lead Teller in 2007.  She was recognized by her fellow employees and managers for Employee of the Quarter in 2008 and has been the Bank’s “on-the-job” new Teller trainer for years.

FSB Support MARC at the Southernmost Pumpkin Patch

First State Bank of the Florida Keys is joining the Monroe Association for ReMARCable Citizens (MARC) at the Annual Southernmost Pumpkin Patch in Key West.

First State Bank volunteers are helping throughout the Pumpkin Patch season to sell pumpkins, gourds, and raffle tickets, all benefiting the MARC House.

"First State Bank’s volunteers are always there when we need them,” said Ellen Collins, MARC Pumpkin Patch Organizer.  “Their cheerful attitude and willingness to help always make for a successful event!”

FSB Welcomes Leadership Class XXIV

First State Bank of the Florida Keys continued its long term commitment to Leadership Monroe County with their support of the 2015/16 Leadership Class XXIV.

The Bank helped kick off the Leadership Monroe County 2015/16 season with its sponsorship of the first session on Leadership, Tourism, and the Economy.

In honor of First State Bank of the Florida Keys’ 60th Anniversary in business the Bank is celebrating by giving back to charities of the Keys community it serves.

Each of the Bank’s 180 employees was given $60 to donate to a local charity of their choice, a total community donation of over $10,000.

FSB Helps Montessori Race for “One Human Family”

First State Bank of the Florida Keys is supporting the Montessori Charter School’s ‘One Human Race’ 5K to be held at Higgs Beach in Key West.

The Bank is providing sponsorship funds, bags for goodies, and volunteers to help with registration the morning of the race.

Key West Montessori Charter School is a public school, open to all children, striving to reflect the diversity of their local community. Montessori’s innovative academic program challenges students, individually, in a safe and nurturing environment. 

FSB Congratulates Brown on Promotion

First State Bank of the Florida Keys congratulates Candice Brown on her promotion to Assistant Branch Operations Manager at the Key Largo Branch.

Brown was hired as a Teller in 2001 at the Boulevard Branch in Key West, transferred to the Key Largo Branch in 2002, and was promoted to Customer Service Representative in 2007, a position she held until her promotion.
