Henriquez Named First State Bank Employee of the Quarter

Lori Henriquez, First State Bank of the Florida Keys’ Loan Servicing Specialist was named the Bank’s Employee of the Quarter.

Henriquez was recognized by her fellow employees for her initiative, proficiency, and great attitude in the workplace.  Henriquez started with First State Bank as a Loan Servicing Clerk in 1992 and has held several positions in the Loan Administration department. 

First State Bankers Sling Rum for Literacy Volunteers

First State Bank of the Florida Keys provided volunteers to support Literacy Volunteers of America - Monroe County at the Hemingway Days Street Fair.

The Bank’s volunteers joined the Parrotheads and the Coconut Castaways to sell Papa Pilar rum drinks to raise money for Literacy Volunteers’ mission to help people lead more productive lives and become better citizens through increasing literacy skills in Monroe County.

Shifflett began her career with First State Bank of the Florida Keys in 2005 as Customer Service Officer and was promoted to Marathon Branch Operations Manager in 2008. In 2010 she was promoted to Branch Manager of the Bank’s Marathon and Islamorada offices, and assumed her current role as Assistant Vice President.

First State Bank Hypes and Hydrates for Hemingway Race

First State Bank of the Florida Keys Bank volunteers and Moolah the Manatee passed out medals and provided encouragement to the runners of the Hemingway 5K Sunset Run and Paddle Board Race.

This year’s race attracted over 1,000 runners and 95 paddlers from all over the country, helping to raise funds for the Florida Keys Community College Youth Swim Program and the Key West Sunrise Rotary Club.
