First State Bank Helps Key Largo Summer Recreation Program End with a Splash

First State Bank of the Florida Keys recently donated $250 to provide supplies for the Key Largo School Summer Recreation Program’s end of camp splash bash celebration. “First State Bank was once again proud to contribute to the Key Largo School summer camp’s splash bash,” said Lori Bailey, Vice President/Commercial Lender for the Upper Keys. “Seeing the kids so happy to enjoy the giant slip and slide, water balloons and water sprayed by the Key Largo Volunteer Fire Department is always heartwarming. Our thanks to the hardworking teachers who make the camp great.” The 4-week summer program offered by Key Largo School hosted approximately 200 children from throughout the Upper Keys. Funding for the free program is provided by the Ocean Reef Community Foundation and Keys Children's Foundation. “We appreciate how our community comes together for our local children,” said program director and Key Largo School teacher Ryan Smith. “With funding for any public school activity limited, it is supporters like First State Bank who help make this program a success.” ###
