At our discretion, FSB will strive to pay non-sufficient fund items such as checks, ACH preauthorized debit transactions, recurring debit card purchases, or online bill pay transactions (does NOT include ATM and one-time debit card transactions) presented against your account instead of returning the items unpaid.

When added to the basic Courtesy Coverage, FSB will strive to pay ALL types of non-sufficient fund items (includes ATM and one-time debit card transactions) presented against your account instead of declining the transaction.*

Establishes an automatic transfer of funds to your checking account from another deposit account.

How to Add Service

Automatically comes with your account. No action is required.

Consumer Customers:

You must opt-in and authorize participation. You may opt-in online, in-person at any branch, by mail, or by phone.

Business Customers:

Automatically comes with your account. No action is required.

You must request and complete form in-person at any branch.

Cost

No fee for service. You are only charged if you have an overdraft. $33 per overdraft if item is paid or returned.

No fee to enroll.  A transfer fee of $10 will be assessed for each transfer that occurs.

First State Bank is under no obligation to pay items when your account has non-sufficient funds, even if previous NSF transactions were paid. However, with this service we will strive to pay your overdrafts whenever possible. We may charge you an NSF fee each time a transaction is presented if the amount of money available in your account is not sufficient to cover the transaction and the transaction may be presented multiple times. We do not monitor or control the number of times a transaction is presented for payment.

* Escrow, Trust, For the Benefit of (FBO), Minor and Savings accounts are not eligible for Courtesy Coverage or Courtesy Coverage Plus. Accounts with levies or garnishments, those that have been in collections with First State Bank and individuals with a loan in a past due status are also not eligible for Courtesy Coverage or Courtesy Coverage Plus.
